Last Saturday, our wall panel production floor was transformed into a powerhouse of sawdust and spirit as we hosted Buffalo’s second bed build with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP).
Small Crew, Big Impact
A dedicated team of 30 volunteers rolled up their sleeves to tackle a major goal: ending “bed poverty” in our community. From sanding headboards to drilling frames, the teamwork was seamless. By the end of the day, we had completed approximately 38 beds for local children and families who currently don’t have a bed of their own. To put it in perspective, the SHP Round Rock Chapter currently has 70 children on the waitlist in need of a bed—numbers our work has helped reduce.
More Than Just Lumber
For a child, a bed is a sanctuary. It’s the difference between a restless night on the floor and a restorative sleep that leads to a better day at school. We are incredibly proud to have used our space to facilitate such a direct, positive impact on 38 lives.
