Myles Dance

President

Myles Dance, founder and president since establishing Buffalo Framing and Truss in 1989, has dedicated 36 years to guiding the company with a steady focus on collaborative growth and reliable operations. Starting with a single truck and a small team, he has nurtured Buffalo through steady expansion, including the development of our manufacturing facility in Pflugerville, always prioritizing the shared efforts of The Herd. Rooted in his deep appreciation for family, community, and enduring connections, Myles is committed to fostering a legacy of teamwork and continuous improvement that ensures Buffalo remains a trusted partner and a place where our team thrives for generations to come.

Nate Steere

Vice President

Nate Steere joined the Buffalo herd in 2017. After graduating from South Dakota State University, Nate attended a technical college to study blueprint reading, roof framing, and stair cutting. He spent four years working as a framer before moving into the business side of construction, eventually spending 23 years with a Midwest company that grew from a framing-only contractor into a fully integrated component and lumber supplier. Over the course of his career, Nate has developed a strong passion for building specifications, alternative framing methods, and improving efficiency and quality. Since joining Buffalo, his focus has been on enhancing and expanding our ability to serve the market through an advanced component delivery system that benefits both builders and framers.

Gintas Urbonavicius

Director, Single Family

Gintas Urbonavicius has been a member of the Buffalo herd since 2024 and serves as the Director of Single Family. In this role, he oversees the overall performance of single-family operations, including training, customer relations, and long-term growth initiatives. His military service laid the groundwork for both his personal and professional development, leading to a 14-year career with a top-five homebuilder, where he advanced from intern to senior leadership. Gintas is committed to building strong relationships and driving continuous improvement through root cause analysis, training, and embracing challenges that push teams to grow.

Matt Parmley

Director, Multi-Family

Matt Parmley, a member of our team since 2007, serves as Director of Multi-Family, where he oversees operations and drives project execution across Central Texas. He has played a key role in delivering more than 150 wood-framed projects across the region, bringing deep market knowledge and a results-oriented approach to every engagement. Matt is known for staying at the forefront of construction technology and continuously adapting innovative solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and long-term outcomes.

Daron Scarboro

Project and Estimating Manager

Daron Scarboro has contributed his deep construction and estimating expertise to Buffalo for over two decades. Over the course of his career, he has served in several key purchasing roles, including Purchasing Manager and Senior Estimator, consistently supporting operational efficiency and project success. Daron takes great pride in being part of a company recognized for earning the trust and loyalty of its customers and is committed to upholding those values in everything he does.

Jeff Tucker

Director, Bulding Materials

Jeff Tucker joined Buffalo in 2025 as the Director of Building Materials, where he leads estimating, purchasing, logistics, and internal coordination. With more than 30 years of experience in the truss, framing, and wood products industries, Jeff has held a wide range of roles, including research and product development, team building and education, procurement and contract negotiations, and the design and implementation of estimating systems. Passionate about Buffalo’s mission and culture, he is committed to ensuring the company continues to be the vendor, customer, and employer of choice within the industry.

John Kirchmann

Director, Finance

John Kirchmann joined Buffalo in 2024 as the Director of Finance and Information Technology, leading the company’s financial strategy, budgeting, and technology operations. With more than 20 years of experience in real estate finance, he has held senior roles including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Centerspace Homes and Vice President of Operations Support at Essex Property Trust. John began his career at KPMG as a C.P.A. (inactive) and holds a B.A. from Coe College. He is committed to building resilient teams through transparent financial practices and innovative technology solutions.

Logan Dance

Director, Manufacturing and Design

Logan Dance has been part of the Buffalo team since 2011 and serves as the Director of Manufacturing and Design. His experience spans multifamily and single-family construction, software implementation, and developing systems that enhance the work of our manufacturing, design, and field teams. Logan is dedicated to creating tools and processes that strengthen collaboration, improve efficiency, and support a workplace where people are proud to be part of the Buffalo family.

Vanessa Graves

Human Resources Manager

Vanessa Graves, a member of the herd since 2018, is our HR Manager. She supports both our people and our business goals by building trust, engagement, and long-term success. Vanessa began her career in the lumber and truss industry in 2014 as a recruiter, where she developed lasting relationships with candidates, field teams, and leadership. These early experiences sparked her passion for supporting employees beyond the initial hire and ultimately led her into human resources. Recognized as a 2024 HBS Dealer Rising Star for her industry contributions, Vanessa continues to champion strong hires, a solid cultural framework, and uncompromising Buffalo quality.

Ben Mueller

Logistics Manager

Ben Mueller, a dedicated member of our herd since 2009, serves as Logistics Manager, overseeing logistics, transportation, and lumber yard operations while leading a fleet of 10 trucks and their drivers alongside 15 forklifts and material handlers. With 25 years of hands-on experience in the lumber logistics industry, he has mastered the intricacies of efficient supply chain management to keep our operations running seamlessly and support our growth. Guided by the mantra to "set the standard, raise the standard, uphold the standard," Ben embodies the Buffalo Way through his commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional customer experiences that build lasting relationships.

Jeramie Thomas

Project Manager

Jeramie Thomas joined the Buffalo herd in 2016 as an Assistant Superintendent, advancing to Superintendent in 2018 and later being promoted to Project Manager in 2023. Having grown up around construction, he developed a lifelong passion for building and takes pride in bringing projects to life. Jeramie is dedicated to supporting Buffalo’s success in every area and ensuring customers receive exceptional service, value, and quality.

Joseph Nielsen

Multi-Family Design Coordinator/Estimator

Joseph Nielsen has been with Buffalo since 2017 and leads multifamily truss design and estimating. He began his career at Buffalo as a single-family truss designer and embraced the opportunity to grow within the multifamily division, where he continues to drive excellence and innovation. Joseph is enthusiastic about the future of multifamily construction and is dedicated to fostering a strong, values-driven team.

Mel Ashton

Material Lead Estimator

Mel Ashton joined Buffalo Framing & Truss in 2025 and focuses on estimating, process improvement, and developing automated tools that support the company’s operations. With more than 15 years of experience running his own estimating company, he brings deep industry expertise and strong technical skills in PlanSwift, Microsoft Access, Excel, and VBA. Mel specializes in building efficient systems, custom automation, and data-driven solutions that enhance accuracy and streamline workflows. He is motivated by continuous improvement and a passion for creating tools that make complex work faster, clearer, and more user-friendly.

Ruben Gomez

Safety Manager

Ruben Gomez, a member of our herd since 2021, serves as the Safety Manager and oversees the overall safety of the Truss Plant, Field Operations, and DOT compliance for our fleet. With more than 25 years of experience in safety, Ruben brings a deep commitment to protecting workers and fostering a strong safety culture that has helped position Buffalo as an industry leader. His greatest satisfaction comes from seeing every team member return home safely to their families at the end of each workday.

Sam Streit

Office Manager

Sam Streit joined Buffalo in 2023 and serves as the Office Manager, helping keep daily operations running smoothly and ensuring the Executive team has everything they need to succeed. With more than seven years of experience supporting C-suite leaders, she brings strong organizational skills, a steady presence, and a genuine passion for helping others. Originally from Southern California, Sam moved to Texas in 2021 and quickly found her home with the Buffalo team. She takes pride in creating a welcoming, well-run office and truly loves being a Buffalo.

Sean Fitzhugh

Project Manager

Sean Fitzhugh joined The Herd in 2025 as Project Manager to lead multifamily construction initiatives. With over 20 years in the industry managing ground up developments, Sean is focused on streamlining workflows, mentoring teams, and conducting construction reviews that ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes. Aligned with the Buffalo Way, Sean is passionate about building exceptional customer experiences through cultivating collaborative environments, emphasizing continuous improvement, and treating every stakeholder with the respect and care that builds enduring partnerships and community impact.

Tad Bednarz

Single Family Design Manager

Tad Bednarz has been a member of the Buffalo family since August of 2020 and serves as the Single-Family Design Manager, leading a team of eleven wall panel and truss designers. Known for a thoughtful approach to projects and problem-solving, he brings strong focus and a deep commitment to quality across every design his team produces. Before joining Buffalo, he was the co-owner of Alamo Truss and Components in San Antonio from 2001 to 2007, gaining valuable industry and leadership experience. He appreciates Buffalo’s dedication to continuous improvement and innovation, which keeps the company at the forefront of the South Texas market.
